Salem

I grew up in Salem, and I’ve been helping people buy and sell homes here for more than 20 years. It’s a city you can actually walk: down to the harbor, over to the Willows, into a downtown full of local businesses. People come for the history and the harbor, and they stay because it feels like a neighborhood, even in October.

Homes range from 1700s and 1800s houses near the Common and the McIntire District to two- and three-families, condo conversions, and newer buildings near the water. Commuter rail runs from Salem Station to North Station, and a seasonal ferry goes to Boston. If you’re buying in one of the local historic districts, plan on Historical Commission review before you change the outside of the house.

Whether you’re buying your first place, selling a home you’ve owned for decades, or looking at a multifamily, we’ll start with your goals and your numbers and give you a straight answer on price and timing.
